Brief History
AC&E originally commenced business under the name of Amalgamated Communications and Engineering Pty Ltd in 1967. The Company adopted the shortened version of its name in 1984 and since its inception has specialised in the design, manufacture and distribution of products such as connectors, transmission baluns, patch panels, adaptors, patch cords, power distribution etc, for the Telecommunications, Broadcasting, Pay TV & Audio/Video industries.
AC&E’s founding location was the Sydney suburb of Chiswick and is now located at Kings Park after a some years in West Ryde and Silverwater.
From audio patch cords to broadband connectivity systems and phone jacks to power distribution systems with modern computer networking AC&E has remained competitive for over 50 years. This has been achieved through close contact with customers, building on experience, and embracing the continuous change characteristic of a technology business.
